FLIP TOP PLATES are identical plates that interlock to form transportable containers.
No more throwing away food after a picnic or barbecue. No more borrowing Tupperware and plastic ware that you have to get back somehow. And no more wrapping disposable plates with plastic cling wrap, and then with aluminum foil because the "cling" wrap isn't clinging.
Just set a Flip Top Plate on top of the other, match the tabs to the slots, and give the top plate a slight twist. You've got a take-home food container that you can eat from and then recycle when you're finished.
These plates save on food waste and cost almost the same price as most other disposable plate packs in grocery stores and supermarkets.

Can we tell you a secret? Biodegradability is not the magic bullet for garbage disposal and waste removal. That's because most products won't actually biodegrade in a real-world setting.
Let's say you throw away a biodegradable bottle. Where will it end up? Like most garbage, it will end up buried in a landfill. What do products rely on to biodegrade? Exposure to the elements, which it cannot get when it's in the bottom of a landfill.
The reality is that our bottle will take several hundred years to break down.
To biodegrade, most materials need a list of conditions to break down: temperatures over 140 degrees, an organic substrate, and oxygen, which it cannot get at the bottom of the landfill.
So will Flip Top Plates biodegrade? No, but neither will anything else buried in a landfill. So we made our plates recyclable instead, which is something most other plastic and paper plates cannot do.

While these plates are cheap, they are some of the worst for the environment. This foam can not be recycled in any of our current centers whatsoever.

90% of the "plastic" plates on the shelf are made of Polystyrene (the same stuff as Styrofoam). Most recycling plants refuse and can't recycle this. Avoid PS-plastic #6!

You might like colorful plates at your next party, but Mother Nature does not. Paper plates with designs are usually covered with polystyrene resin. They can't be composted OR recycled. The "eco- friendly" advertised paper plates also use glue to hold together the paper pulp, which is not so "tummy-friendly" (thanks to cross-contamination with your food).
Bamboo is a nice alternative for 3% of those who can afford it. Unfortunately it's not a worldwide sustainable solution and it's inability to be recycled does not support a circular economy the way #1 PET can.

The plates can be used to store food, cover food from pesky bugs and birds, used as a handy storage for pencils or other craft items, great for large crowded events so nobody will sneeze or spill drinks when passing by, piece of mind if you need to leave your food unattended while taking a relief break, saves on storage space since tops and bottoms are in same stack, great to send out and use for disaster relief situations.
The possibilities are limitless we even used one to make rain cover for the bird feeder.
